• Network communication: This permission is primarily used to retrieve current promotional items and store data. Except for the reminder service via email, no user-related information is sent. For more details, please refer to our privacy policy. Before retrieving the current information, a check is performed to verify the presence of a data connection so that an appropriate notification can be displayed in case of a connection failure.
• System startup: Previously, all reminders set within the app were deleted when restarting the smartphone. Email reminders were not affected by this issue. This new permission allows reminders to be registered in the system again with each restart.
• Access to protected storage: This allows the HOFER app to enable caching of Google Maps. The HOFER app itself does not access external storage.
• Approximate location: GPS usage consumes relatively high power. Therefore, the HOFER app initially attempts to determine the location through alternative means for store search functionalities.
• Your location: GPS location is required for store search functionalities.
